Inflatable testing Scotland was founded by Anthony McLellan, Anthony has been in the industry for more than 15 years and has run several well established and very busy companies, prior to starting several companies in London Anthony worked for social services and was involved in every aspect of the health and safety at work for Enfield Council. Anthony moved to Scotland in 2021 and struggled to find a competent person who could offer a good service as an affordable price. This motivated Anthony to do something about the problem. Anthony trained to become a PIPA inspector in 2024 and founded inflatable testing Scotland.

Our Inspections

Inflatable Testing Scotland (ITS) is a registered Inspection Body for Inflatable Play Equipment including Bouncy Castles, Slides, Obstacle Courses Disco Domes etc. under the PIPA Scheme only. We also test other inflatables to the BSEN14960 standard. This includes, inflatable buildings, Snow globes, bungee runs, gladiator joists, rodeo balls, last man standing, swimming pool inflatables, soft Play Inflatable ball pools.

Our Inspection Reports always contain full details of the inspection and a number of photographs. A unique service offered by (ITS) i It should be noted that all of our Inspection Reports only applies to the inflatable element of games.

All inflatables are tested under BS EN 14960 (all parts), manufacturers/designers/suppliers guidance and any known historical data.

The inspection scheme is designed to cover Inflatables sold and hired for commercial use and not those inflatable play items sold as toys through retail outlets which are governed by separate legislation and European Standards.

PIPA has the full support of the Health & Safety Executive (H.S.E.) which is why (ITS) only uses the PIPA scheme whenever appropriate.

(ITS) include Operators, Local Authorities, Leisure Providers, Leisure Centres, Community Centres, private individuals and many more.

We also Pat test electrical items and can issue a safety certificate.
